Should I get a state-of-health cert for a 2024 Nissan Ariya?

The question
Hello!
I went to look at a two-year-old Nissan Ariya and asked the salesperson if a battery state of health certificate was available for the vehicle. The response was “That's not typically provided for such a two-year-old EV. And if there is any problem, it's under warranty.”
What do you make of that response?

Hi Julia,
It doesn't matter whether the salesperson believes it's standard or not, you are in a strong position so you can stipulate it before you consider buying the car if you really want to. But they're right about the warranty on the battery so the cert isn't going to give you anything extra in this case.
