Should I worry about the ICCU in the Hyundai Ioniq 6?

The question
I'm very tempted by the Ioniq 6 following its update for 2026. However, I am aware of the ICCU issue affecting Hyundai, Kia and Genesis EV models worldwide. What is your understanding of the issue?

Hi Noel,
There was a recall a couple of years ago covering the Ioniq 5 and 6 made up to March 2024 and the software was updated since. It only seemed to affect about one per cent of cars, globally, but we'd be confident that the new model features this upgraded softwarein any case.
