Can a sunstrip pass an NCT?

The question
My car has a sunstrip on the windscreen that was an NCT fail. The fail sheet said obstruction inside wiped area, so if I put on wipers that wipe up to just under the sunstrip will it still pass?

Hi John,
Possibly? But equally possibly they could fail you because now you don’t have the correct windscreens wipers and your screen is not being fully wiped. Or maybe just get rid of the sun strip...
