What is the difference between mono-ethylene glycol and ethylene glycol?

The question
When it come to coolant, what is the difference between mono-ethylene glycol and ethylene glycol? Or is there a difference if I am to use one or the other?

Hi Joe,
There's no difference at a functional level. If you want to dig deep into the maths of their respective chemistry they are different but as far as they work in your car, if it says coolant on the bottle, it'll work fine.
