Can flood water affect the fly wheel on a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe CRDi?

Hi Seamus,
Flood water can affect the whole car so it's difficult to say. While I guess it could cause rusting of parts of the flywheel, I believe the biggest problem could be the crankshaft sensor. That probably won't like being immersed in dirty water for any length of time.
