Why is my BMW X3's clutch making a noise?

My BMW X3 makes a clutch noise when pressing the pedal slightly. What could be wrong?

Hi Ireneo,
That would normally be the clutch release bearing. Will mean removal of the gearbox to fix so you may as well have the clutch replaced at the same time.
