Can a puncture in a run flat tyre be repaired?
I am driving between 800-900 km per week to and from work and I am looking to change from a 2005 1.4 petrol Volkswagen Golf with 133,500km (82,950 miles) on the clock, to a diesel car.
My budget is approx €13,000 euro but am not sure what to buy. I have looked at the Volkswagen Passat, but are there other options out there that you could recommend?
I am thinking of buying a VW Passat 1.6 FSI but have been advised not to as it is short on power. What do you think?
What do you think of the new sporty Mazda3? I have a budget of €30k. What would you recommend new that would have enough boot space for golf clubs and comes with strong accessories like a roof rack or boot rack for carrying a racing bike?
I want to buy a diesel car. I need space and comfort. My budget is up to €8,000. What cars would you recommend?
Thanks
I have ordered a Lexus executive IS 220d for my wife from a Toyota dealer due to them having the best price in the area.
Is this a good car in the class and price bracket of €36,800? Are there any pitfalls to ordering from a non-Lexus dealer in terms of extra free kit or back up before I hand over the cheque? Delivery is in late June. No deposit has been paid yet. A factory sunroof is being fitted for an extra €1,150.
Hi there. Here's a different one.
I'm waiting to take delivery on a new van. I'm buying it in Dublin but live in another part of the country. I assume the dealer has to obtain the vehicle's registration number so my question is this. Can it be registered at my local office so that I have my county's index plate and not a 'D'. Nothing against Dublin, just that I am a 'local' business and would like the local number.
Thanks.
Tom Kelly.
Want to buy a 2001 Audi A4 (b5) Avant TDI in the UK private or from non-franchise dealer. How do I do this without being caught out?
I am thinking of buying a BMW 520d second-hand. What are the best optional extras to look for that will help hold second-hand value in a few years? I understand that an automatic gearbox is almost essential for executive cars and that leather can also be worthwhile.
I have about €30k to spend on a car. I am retired and will consider a diesel as I will be doing some farming and some clerical work requiring travel. What car would you recommend?
