How does the 1.4 TSI DSG auto perform in the new Golf? And what are the economy figures? Thinking of buying one next year.

What would be the likely trade in value of a silver 2001 BMW 320Ci (85k miles) with extras (sports leather seats, climate control, HK sound system etc) for a new Golf 1.4 TSI? Would I be lucky to get €3,000?

What is the story with the 1.4 Volkswagen Passats TSI? I know it has 120hp but is it suitable for such a big car? 

Are they economical? Can they overtake without labouring??

I am still shopping around myself and have just come across these, they seem good value, I do about 12,000 kilometres per year.

Hi, my 2005 BMW X5 3.0d is taking its time to start these mornings. It's due a service shortly (1,000 miles). Should I put anti-freeze in it now or wait? Also, will any anti-freeze do or does it have to be specific type as the manual says or is this scaremongering so I get it done by BMW?

Can you recommend a few small diesel-engined cars that qualify for the scrappage scheme? Value for money is important. It must be a five-seater, must have four doors and reliability is important. I'm considering a Ford Fiesta or similar-sized car.

Can you give me a rough idea what the mpg difference would be between a BMW 520d automatic and 520d SE manual version for mainly suburban driving.

I know that for resale automatic is better, but ecomony is important to me.

Also, the suspension for M Sport version is stiffer and firmer; I am not into fast driving, but do like the sport styling. Can you tell me is the ride comfort difference noticable?

I have a 2005 three-door Mitsubishi Colt and need a bigger car: I have a three-year old and baby on the way... Don't have much cash  (€1,000 max); what sort of car could I get with my car as a trade in? I have looked at Mitsubishi Spacestar and Mercedes-Benz A-Class. I want a reliable car and want to keep engine size down to save on tax and insurance.. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also, have you any ideas of anyone who would pay cash for my car? Tried all the cash-for-cars places and got no answers.
