What will I replace my Mitsubishi L200 with?

Hi,

I am driving a Mitsubishi L200 pick-up, but I am thinking of changing. I like the height of the driving position, but I am looking for lower tax and a diesel engine that's more economical. Any suggestions?

How do I retrieve my tax renewal PIN number?

I have lost my tax renewal PIN number and form. Is there any way of getting this instead of travelling to the tax office and queuing?

Why is the reversing light on the Mazda3 so poor?

I have a 2006 Mazda3 and the light given out by the reversing light is shocking in compared to other cars. Why is this? Is there anything I can do to remedy it?

How can I stop exhaust fumes?

How much would it cost to change a timing belt in my 2000 Hyundai Coupe?

Also, there is a smell of exhaust fumes while driving the same car. The smell is always there while driving, but only can smell with the windows open and is strongest on the driver's side.

Any ideas or help would be great.

Not much money to go to mechanic!

What car will cost me less in tax than my 2007 Golf?

I have a 2007 VW Golf diesel with 44,000 miles on the clock. I wish to change it for a similarly sized 08/09 car with lower tax. My annual mileage is about 12,000-14,000 miles. Which cars would you recomend and how much should I receive for my own one?

Thanks

What are the costs of importing a used car from the UK?

Hi there,

Can you tell me if VRT is the only additional cost to buying a car in the UK or is there also VAT to be paid?

Also, how accurate is the Revenue's online VRT calculator?

Regards

Ray

What's happening with the new Hyundai Santa Fe?

Are there any pictures of the new Hyundai Santa Fe coming out this October? The new Hyundai ix35 looks good, but it has very little spec inside for the Irish market compared to other countries.

In Ireland it is very diffucult to compare one car company with another because Ireland gets the worst specs. Here in the US I would buy a Hyundai before any Merc because the specs are much better as are the warranties, but that is not the way it is in Ireland.

Is a diesel car suited to low annual mileages?

Looking at buying a Ford Galaxy and wondering if it's inappropriate to get a diesel engine, as we only generally drive short distances in the city and annual mileage would only be about 3,000 miles. Would only using the car for short journeys damage the engine and potentially cause it to breakdown more often?

Thanks
