How will I replace my written off BMW 5 Series?

My car is deemed a write off. Open market selling preice, as per revenue, will not replace my car, like-for-like. It's a 2008 BMW 520d M Sport with 98,000 miles on the clock, leather interior, carbon black.

What are my options as this is all they are offering: €13,000. Cost to buy like for like ranges from €18,000 to €22,995.

Thank you.

Will an ex-insurance company car be ok?

I am looking at a car in Northern Ireland. Its previous owner was MIS Insurance and it was apparently given as relief car when accidents occur. Any experience on buying these cars subsequently? What problems arise if any?

What's the deal with insuring a car on HP finance?

I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and were talking about the way that some of the car loans / financing deals that some of the manufacturers do. Some of them are HP so that means that you won't own the car until you've made the last payment, how does this affect your insurance, as isn't one of the first questions about the car being registered in your name? Does HP not mean it remains in the leasing company's name until you make the last payment?

Which version of the Lancer is the Intense equivalent to?

I am currently in the market for a 2008 and up Mitsubishi Lancer 1.5 and have come across the Intense model. When trying to get an insurance quote for this model I am left stumped as the insurance companies only suggest the models DE, ES and GTS. Which model is the Intense relative to these?

How do I find out the salvage value of my Mitsubishi Colt?

My 2007 Mitsubishi Colt CZC 1.5 has just been deemed unrepairable by the insurance company. I now have the option of keeping the car and trying to get the salvage value myself or surrendering the car and accepting a cheque minus the salvage value. Question is where do I find the salvage value?

Is the insurer valuing my Opel Corsa correctly?

Hi, I wonder can you help. I need to renew my car insurance and they have the value of my car at €14,000. It is a 2007 Opel Corsa Club with about 34,000 kilometres on the clock. Any idea what the value should be at this stage? It might bring down the insurance. Worth a try!

Thanks

Hello, if a person has a minor accident in his/her employer's vehicle, where a claim is made against you (i.e. through your employer's insurance policy), will this also affect your own insurance in your private car?
