What new car deals are coming for 181?

Any ideas of what kind of car deals will be coming for the 181 buying season? Expecting good deals due to poor sales or are we in for high PCP rates all around?

Ok to pay for UK car on finance from Ireland?

Hi,

I want to import a car from the UK on Hire Purchase. I intend to register it as you have previously advised here that it is ok to register a car with outstanding finance. My question is, will the car company whose bank provide the finance, have an issue with this and will they even find out given all payments will be made as usual

Will my trade-in cover a new finance deposit?

I have a Chevrolet Aveo 1.4 car and I'm thinking of trading it in under a scrappage scheme. Will I have to make a deposit or does the trade-in value go as a deposit on the new car and what would the payments be back on €20,000 for the car?

Any scrappage AND 0% PCP finance deals?

Hi,

I am in the market to replace my 14-year old Peugeot 307. I note a lot of manufacturers have scrappage deals at present. Quite a few also have 0% finance deals, but these two offers are generally mutually exclusive. Do you know of any manufacturer offering both deals on new cars?

Thanks for your time, Rowland

What is going on with PCP variability?

PCP financing is something of a dark art! Deals tend to vary wildly from dealer to dealer (even for the same make and model) and the advertised offers don't seem to bear much resemblance to how they pan out in reality (I looked into an offer with monthly repayments of €362, but on a 20 per cent deposit the price ballooned to over €600).

Any advice for navigating this form of car financing, especially on how to compare packages?

Where can I get lease prices for company cars?

Hi,

Where can I get estimates or comparisons on the lease prices for company cars? I have a monthly allowance but have no visibility on the charges quoted from our appointed multi national leasing company. I suspect I am not getting the best lease deals available from other local suppliers. The lack of transparency in the lease market seems to lend itself to the dominant position of a major multi national leasing company.
