Why won't my Skoda Octavia start?

I have just bought a 2006 Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI Elegance and now it won't start. It turns over and the battery went flat so I replaced it with a new one, but it still wont fire up. The glow plug light goes out and the dash lights are working fine. Any ideas?

Cheers

John

Where is the oil leak coming from in my Opel Astra?

Hi lads. I have a 2005 Opel Astra four-door saloon. there is a lot of oil leaking from what looks like a plastic valve about two inches in length at the front of the engine. It leaks when driving. Looking into the engine on the left side above the alternator. What is it called and what does it do?

Thanks a mill, Michael

Am I being ripped off for repairs on my Micra?

My six-year old Nissan Micra (that has never given me any problems) just suddenly won't start. Apparently the crankshaft and sensors need replacing, and the garage tells me it's a big job, it will take a couple of days of work (engine out etc.) and will cost €750 approximately. What do you think? Expensive or what?

Why does my low coolant light keep coming on?

The low coolant warning light is coming on in my Mazda RX-8 when driving over 120km/h. Coolant level and oil are ok. Any idea what's causing this? The light goes off again after a few minutes.

Does my Kia Sorento have suspension problems?

Hi, I recently bought a 2008 Kia Sorento (30k miles) privately and really like it. Everything has been great so far except for when I hit bumps in the road. The bang you get from going over bumps is quite hard and travels through your body. I did research on Sorentos before buying it but now going back I see there are suspension problems reported on Kias. Do you think if I replace the shocks it should ease the suspension problem and do you know if there is a type of shock that I should get a garage to install to try and dampen down the bang I get from bumps in the road?

Thanks Ciaran.
