Where does Suzuki source the 1.6 DDIS engine for the new Vitara and are there any known issues with this engine? I had the third generation Suzuki Vitara with the 1.9 diesel engine before: nice car but the engine was a disaster!

What decent diesel suits a young driver?
I'm only 19 and buying a good quality diesel car in the next week. Looking at an Opel Astra 1.3 CDTi or a Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec. What would you reccommend? I'm thinking between 2005 and 2008.

I need help finding a diesel car for €2,000: I need a car to carry two small kids also, something up to 1.6 maybe, was thinking of a car in the Peugeot 307 or Renault Mégane size, looking for something reliable to keep for a few years, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
