Novitec tunes up Tesla Model 3

Styling accoutrements and suspension mods for electric Tesla Model 3 now available from Novitec.

German tuning firm Novitec, having already done a range of customisation parts for the Teslas Model S and Model X, has now turned its attention to the smallest product from the American EV company - the Model 3.

Carbon copied

A fully-laden Novitec Tesla Model 3 is known as the T3 E, but you can pick and choose from the upgrades offered by the company. Owners can choose from naked-carbon aerodynamic components, 21-inch forged wheels, interior packages and even suspension modifications.

With the carbon-fibre exterior addenda, these parts can be kept as 'naked' finish but, as an alternative, painted finishes in either the body colour or a contrast shade are offered. There's a front splitter, which not only looks good but reduces front-axle lift, while at the back is a rear-lip spoiler and a diffuser as well. Along the sides, carbon-fibre sills give the Model 3 extra attitude, while the 21-inch, double-spoke forged alloys are from US manufacturer Vossen and are called Novitec NV2s; and, like the splitter, these aren't just eye-catching but they also serve a purpose, as they optimise ventilation and cooling of the Tesla's brakes. Choose from 72 (yes, 72!) different colours for these rims, with either brushed or polished surface finishes on offer.

Stance with me

Beyond the visual modifications, there are two suspension packages for the Tesla Model 3. The first combines bespoke sport springs with the car's OEM dampers, to lower the overall ride height by 30mm. If owners fancy going further, then the Novitec Aluminium Sport Suspension offers a 'sporty-comfortable ride' and a drop of 40mm into the bargain. Again, Novitec claims a dynamic benefit here, as the lower ride height reduces aerodynamic drag and is said to cut power consumption on long-distance runs by up to seven per cent.

It's what's on the inside...

Finally, Novitec will refine the Model 3's interior with a host of leather and Alcantara cabin appointments, in 'virtually any conceivable colours'. There are a choice of different designs to choose from here, so for details on these and any of the other items mentioned, head on over to www.novitec.com to find out more.
