I'm in China for the week with Mercedes-Benz taking part in its F-Cell World Drive. That's the circumnavigation of the globe in a pair of fuel cell powered B-Class Mercs. We're aiming to drive about 1,000km through China. Should be quite an experience. A few 'postcards' from the journey to Beijing for you:

Alright, this could be from any trip we take, but spotted a (very) yellow Ferrari California up for grabs in one of those airport raffle competitions. First time I've seen the car in that colour.

That's our new long term test Golf above, in one of its default positions - at the airport car park... It's the new BlueMotion model and though it feels like a regular diesel Golf it's using less than 6.0 litres/100km on average (47mpg). We're taking it down to Bantry next week loaded to the roof so it should be interesting to see what kind of numbers it returns then. And yes, that is bird poo on the bonnet that has since been cleaned off...

This last image is of the black and red Gucci floor mats found in the back of the new Merc S-Class that took me from Beijing airport to my hotel. Nice, huh?

More later.
