Volkswagen e-up!

Volkswagen e-up!

[DISCONTINUED] The e-up! may have been the most relevant EV on the market.

No longer in production

When the electric version of the Volkswagen up! city car was first unveiled back in 2012, it was deemed too expensive for the Irish market against the petrol-powered versions. Bear in mind that demand for electric cars wasn't as high as it is now. The up! quietly disappeared from Irish pricelists a while ago, but in 2023 Volkswagen Ireland decided that there is a place in the market for the e-up! as demand for EVs rocketed and it could be sold for a price that made it look good value against the majority of alternatives. Sadly it has gone into retirement now for good. Grab a used one if you can.
