DS No.8

DS No.8

DS’s new low-slung crossover wants to be taken seriously as a BMW and Audi rival.

This new No.8 represents something of a rebirth for the DS Automobiles brand, as it wants to be taken truly seriously as a maker of luxury cars, rather than just slightly posher Citroens. All-electric power should help with that (silent running is always good for luxury) while the ‘STLA Medium’ platform underneath has already impressed in the Peugeot E-3008 and the Opel Grandland. An eye-catching 750km maximum range for the big-battery model underlines the No.8’s impressive aerodynamics, while the cabin is genuinely luxurious and different to the norm.
