Sure, it's a lot of brand-hyping marketing puff, but for all of us it's a chance to see and hear one of the most sensational supercars of the year.
The video shows the Aventador, in its de rigueur orange paintwork, sliding around a desert dodging chunks of rock and sand storms. Just as importantly, it has the Aventador doing a little slidey sideways driving of the sort we all wish we could indulge in with our new Lamborghini.
As a pay-off at the end of the video, Lamborghini describes the Aventador as a "Relentless Force." Seems about right to us for a 700hp supercar. Have a look at the video and decide for yourself if Lamborghini has what it takes to win an award at the Cannes film festival:
