Lower tax for revised Suzuki SX4

Suzuki SX4 gets a new face and some engine fine-tuning.

The 1.5-litre diesel engine now puts out 109bhp at 4,400rpm and uses 6.1 litres/100km (46mpg) on the combined cycle, while emitting 139g/km of CO2. This is an 11 percent overall increase in fuel efficiency and puts the SX4 into Band B, with annual road tax costing €156.

The exterior changes include a new front bumper and grille, as well as new front and rear skid plates that are can apparently 'handle the rigours of outdoor life'.

Less obvious changes have also taken place, with both the engine bay gaining some added noise-reducing material and also the interior receiving a new instrument cluster with an integrated digital information display among other things.

Finally, the braking system has been updated, with disc brakes now standard on the rear of the car.
