What is it?
The 508 is the replacement to the 407 and arrives in Ireland in April 2011. The new car will feature a 1.6-litre HDi engine at the heart of the range with Band B emissions.
Why's it here?
This is a hugely important car to the French firm and Peugeot is on its home turf in Paris, so it is quite a big deal. In the metal this car is huge, closer in size to the old 607. Inside the quality is impresive.
Show stopper or floor filler?
This is quite a significant car and while the segment is very crowded and dominated by the Toyota Avensis and Volkswagen Passat you would have to assume that the new interest in Peugeot as a brand is likely to bring in sales for the 508.
