Ferrari to open a new theme park in Spain

A new Ferrari themed hotel will be part of 'Ferrari Land' in Spain.

Ferrari has announced a new theme park. To be located in Spain, it's called Ferrari Land. Planned to be spread over 75,000 square metres, the Prancing Horse theme park will be built inside the PortAventura resort just outside Barcelona.

An overall investment of €100 million will be put into the theme park, which opens its gates in about two years from now, in 2016. Ferrari Land will feature Europe's highest and fastest vertical accelerator among other attractions, says Ferrari. Also, a 250-room Ferrari-themed luxury hotel will be built in PortAventura, close to the theme park.

Anything else?
PortAventura, owned by Investindustrial, already welcomes four million visitors in a year, and the figure is bound to go high as soon as Ferrari Land opens.
