Toyota launches 'serviceplan'

New scheme from Toyota aims to lower the impact of servicing costs.

Toyota has launched 'serviceplan' - a way of spreading vehicle servicing costs over small monthly payments, as opposed to forking out the whole sum when the time comes.

Toyota's scheme lets buyers of new models fix future servicing costs for up to five years at today's prices; and then pay for them from just €14 per month. Not only will this plan avoid the inevitable rise in servicing costs, it should also prevent motorists skipping regular service intervals due to the cost of a lump sum payment.

Included in the serviceplan are free puncture repairs, free vehicle health checks, free wiper and bulb fitting and discounts on other work undertaken outside the plan; all of which is done by Toyota's trained mechanics and technicians.

"With serviceplan, drivers can now ensure their Toyotas are running at their best in a very affordable way," said David Shannon, Managing Director of Toyota Ireland. "The fact that service costs are guaranteed for up to five years also gives additional peace of mind."

Anything else?
Toyota also points out that customers are not locked into a contract with serviceplan; and can opt out whenever they want. A full refund, minus the cost of any work that has been carried out, will also be given to those cancelling their policy. In addition, customers can also transfer their policy to a new Toyota if they change their car during the term.
