Sprinter Usain Bolt is heading up Nissan's latest 'WHAT_IF' global brand campaign.  Bolt, who has owned a Nissan GT-R since 2009, will star in the multi-year, multimedia campaign that is set to run online and at major airports.

The campaign starts with billboard posters showing the record breaking sprinter and his GT-R.  Nissan will use the WHAT_IF theme to showcase the company's products and innovations.  Raising brand awareness around the world is part of Nissan's 'Power 88' medium term business strategy.

WHAT_IF is designed to provoke curiosity and uses online media to provide sharable content.  A dedicated Facebook page has been set up to support the campaign.  The page uncovers the association between Bolt and the GT-R, along with other content.

Nissan's Usain Bolt advertisements are on view at 13 airports now including London Heathrow, New York JFK, Kuala Lumpur and Johannesburg.
