Funky Citroen Tubik revealed

This is the Citroen Tubik concept, aiming to be all things to all people.

Citroen says that its new concept car, the Tubik, has been 'designed to make travel meaningful again' and that it has drawn upon its expertise and the best "Créative Technologie" to make the show car, described as a high-tech executive shuttle.

Yeah we don't buy it either but the concept does seem to suggest that Citroen may be working on a replacement for the C8. With the exception of the passenger door that is a gullwing affair involving one whole side of the Tubik, everything else is reasonably workable in the real world. The main feature of the car is the innovative seating configurations that can turn the passenger compartment of the Tubik into a first class boardroom with the first and third rows of seats facing each other while the middle row acts as a table. Press a few buttons or pull some handles and everything converts to regular MPV seating with three separate rows, but should the need take you the rearmost rows can be combined to make a bed.

Citroen speaks about 'a shared, intelligent, connected and eco-friendly journey' that would seem to imply an element of 'cloud' technology that would allow commuters to hand controls over to the car and get on with the important stuff like finishing that vital presentation or Tweeting to the world. However, as Citroen does not provide any real details about the Tubik we will just have to wait until the Frankfurt Motor Show to find out more.
