NAVTEQ, a global provider of satellite navigation maps, has announced an expansion of traffic data that can predict where and when traffic jams will happen based on when they typically occur.
NAVTEQ Traffic Patterns now covers every single road across eighteen European countries, including Ireland, meaning that users can get to their destination quicker by an alternative route being calculated in order to avoid traffic jams.
Studies show that drivers could save an average forty two hours per annum based on a daily commute of sixty kilometres.
