End of the Bugatti Veyron

If you've been saving up for a Bugatti Veyron coupé, it's too late: they're all sold.

The 300th and last Bugatti Veyron 16.4 has now been sold and the order book is now closed for good. A European customer is the lucky last person to order a new Veyron coupé and they will take delivery in the autumn.

The first Veyron was seen in 2003 and it has taken eight years to complete the 300-car production run of coupés. For the foreseeable future, Bugatti will continue to make Grand Sport convertible version of the Veyron.

Ending Veyron production does not signal the end of Bugatti, however. Boss of the company Wolfgang Durheimer said: "In the Veyron, the Bugatti team has created a vehicle that has already become an icon. The Grand Sport is a further pinnacle of achievement in the open-top sports car segment and we intend to maintain the same standard in our future Bugatti products."
