Volkswagen Group Ireland is to get a new Managing Director. Simon Elliot, currently Director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in the UK, will take up the position.
Commenting on his new role, Simon said: "I have really enjoyed the last three years with Commercial Vehicles and am really proud to have achieved record volumes and market share, grown brand awareness and leadership in customer care, and forged a fantastic relationship with everyone in our Van Centre Network.
"I am very flattered to be offered this position, and looking forward to taking on my new role."
Elliot will take over from Paul Willis, who is due to take up a senior role with the Volkswagen Group in China. Willis has been in charge of Volkswagen Group Ireland since October 2008.
