Donate to child cancer charity and win an Opel Adam

Opel will give away a unique Adam to support the Childhood Cancer Foundation.

What's the news?

Want to win a unique Opel Adam as well as helping those suffering from childhood cancer? Well, Opel is giving you exactly that chance, and has put an Adam up as a prize to help the Childhood Cancer Foundation. All you have to do to be eligible to win is to donate €4 to the CCF, which you can do by texting GOLDOPEL to 50300.

It's not just any old Adam, though. Opel, which has supported the CCF for the past three years, has asked Opel brand ambassador and famed artist Pan Cooke to design a one-off roof graphic for the car, so the Adam that will be one is truly unique.

Emily Barry, Senior Brand and PR Manager for Opel Ireland said: "For most of us our early years were carefree, happy and fun, but for those battling this desperate disease, their reality can be very different. It is because of this that we are delighted to be in the position to support our partners in Childhood Cancer Foundation by donating the Opel Adam, but also through our collaboration with the incredibly talented Pan Cooke, who's unique roof design is a real celebration of childhood innocence. We're hopeful that this latest campaign will help raise vital funds for the charity, but perhaps more importantly shine a light on a very real issue that has such a profound and devastating effect on so many families in this country."

Laura Cullinan of Childhood Cancer Foundation said: "We are delighted to partner with Opel Ireland and The Real Pan for this exciting initiative during September's International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and beyond. I would ask people to support our work and projects by simply texting GOLDOPEL for €4 to 50300. This campaign will help us to continue to raise awareness of childhood cancer and the devastation that a cancer diagnosis brings to children, their families and indeed their local communities. Every donation will assist us to continue to fund our projects at Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin and other shared care hospitals around Ireland. One lucky winner will drive away with this unique car in October at the end of what we hope will be a much talked about and successful campaign."

Every week, four children under the age of 16 in Ireland are diagnosed with cancer, and of your €4 donation, at least €3.25 will go to the CCF to help advocate for improved services for all those affected by childhood cancer. So, even if you don't win the car, you'll be helping.
