SsangYong teases Rexton with LIV-2

SsangYong Limitless Interface Vehicle 2 is Paris concept, but previews forthcoming large SUV.

What's the news?

This is the LIV-2 Concept SUV which will be debuted by Korean firm SsangYong at the Paris Motor Show that is looming large on the horizon, and what you're essentially looking at is the replacement for the Rexton.

The 'Limitless Interface Vehicle' 2 is the last concept to be based on the Y400 development model and will be launched as a production car next year.

Powered by a Euro 6 2.2-litre diesel or a newly-developed 2.0-litre GDI petrol, the LIV-2 is said to have 'high levels of safety as well as a contemporary luxury interior equipped with a suite of advanced communication technologies'.

Anything else?

The SsangYong LIV-2 follows on from the LIV-1 concept which was shown at the Seoul Motor Show in 2013. Which, in essence, developed into the Tivoli XLV... eventually.
