Ford GT ordering process now online

New website also includes car configurator.

What's the news?

Ford has opened the ordering process for the new Ford GT and has launched a website, complete with configurator, where prospective buyers can register their interest. Just 250 Ford GTs will be built per year with the initial ordering period covering the first two years of production.

The company is looking for people who will celebrate the brand to ensure the first cars find the right customers. Successful applicants will be assisted through the purchase and years of ownership by the Ford GT Concierge Service.

Henry Ford III, global marketing manager, Ford Performance said: "The purchase process for the Ford GT is as unique as our all-new supercar. We understand GT customers are strong ambassadors for Ford Motor Company and we look forward to providing them a service as distinct as the car itself."

Prospective buyers have until 12th May to apply.

Anything else?

The Ford GT the online configurator allows fans and potential customers to experiment with combinations of paint, trim and wheels; and share the results on social media. There are eight body colours, seven stripe colours and four interior themes.

Go to FordGT.com to try the configurator and access the application portal.
