Stowe corner, on the UK's Silverstone Grand Prix circuit, is one which requires commitment. One thing you probably wouldn't want is for it to be icy, then. So Ben Saunders is obviously a man with massive cojones.
That's because he piloted the madhouse 550hp Range Rover Sport SVR around a replica of the Silverstone circuit... that was entirely made of ice. Polar explorer Ben was in Arjeplog in Sweden to show off the Rangie's prowess in freezing conditions.
The team behind the stunt carved a full-sized copy of Silverstone GP into Lake Udjaur, near the Arctic Circle, and Ben was given some tuition by Land Rover Experience Instructor and former rally champion Minna Sillankorva, who demonstrated ice driving techniques.
Ben said: "Obviously, I had an amazing day. It was my first time driving on ice and the most fun I've had on four wheels. The performance of the Range Rover Sport SVR is simply breathtaking and its poise in the corners was astounding given the slippery conditions."
Mike Cross, Land Rover's chief engineer for vehicle integrity, added: "We pride ourselves on the all-terrain capability and composure of our vehicles, putting them through intensive hot and cold climate testing. The Range Rover Sport SVR is the most dynamic model we've ever produced and combining these qualities showcases the unique talents and expertise of our dedicated engineers."
