Chevrolet returns to Ireland

Five-car line-up and ten outlets for Chevrolet UK and Ireland.

Chevrolet has returned to Ireland with a five-car model line-up and a dealer network of ten outlets with more to follow. Having being previously handled by a private importer the distribution and marketing will now be managed via Chevrolet UK and Ireland, in Luton, the UK. The company is currently in the process of recruiting an Irish Country Manager, who will oversee operations in Ireland. 

Speaking at event to mark the announcement Mark Terry, Chevrolet UK and Ireland Managing Director, said “We have a number of objectives in launching the brand in Ireland, first and foremost, we want to do it properly, by offering the right cars at the right prices for Irish customers, while at the same time providing exactly the kind of model range and aftersales support our dealer network requires of us”. 

From launch the Chevrolet offering will comprise of the €11,995 Spark city car, €15,495 Aveo supermini, €21,495 Cruze four-door saloon or five-door hatch, €28,995 Orlando seven-seat SUV and the €33,995 Captiva SUV. The line-up will grow with the addition of an estate to arrive later in the year with the Volt - the American cousin of the Opel Ampera - set to arrive in 2013. 

The ten dealerships - Windsor outlets in Airside, Deansgrange, Bray and Galway, Clonee Motor Centre, Ennis Road Motors, FM Autocentre, Hinchy’s Garage and Randles Brothers are existing Chevrolet dealers who will be joined by others as the year progresses.
