Fiat is the latest manufacturer to enter the warranty war with the announcement that, from January, its entire model line-up will come with a five-year, 100,000km warranty, complete with five years of roadside assistance cover.
The announcement, identical to that made by Alfa Romeo, is designed to give buyers added peace of mind and will, Fiat says, help to ensure strong residual values due to the transferability of the warranty to subsequent owners - provided the vehicles are maintained according to the service schedule by authorised agents.
"Next year looks like being a special year for Fiat in Ireland," commented Adrian Walsh, Managing Director of Fiat Group Automobiles Ireland. "We have an array of new vehicles coming during the year; we have a new flagship dealership opening alongside our new headquarters in Dublin and now, thanks to this comprehensive five-year warranty package, we are extremely confident of a resurgent and successful 2012."
