Plug-in hybrid concept confirmed by Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi's PHEV crossover scheduled for Geneva debut.

Here's another teaser of a Geneva Motor Show star, this time in the form of a mysterious Mitsubishi.

The big news is that it's a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, or PHEV, cited by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) as a 'declaration of intent' for the company's future direction.

It is a two-wheel drive SUV crossover and is said to be a 'smart combination of engineering fluency with a high-output electric motor, low environmental impact, dynamic agility and athletic design'. So what a pity it is that we can't see the bloody thing properly.

Anything else?

Mitsubishi will unveil the car in Geneva, under the tagline 'a future-oriented attitude: powerful, fast and dynamic'. Moreover, the key thing is the glimpse of the styling - current Mitsubishis are often decent machines in humdrum bodies. This looks like it could be sharp-suited and appealing. Here's hoping.
