Toyota Verso-S

Picked up the Toyota Verso-S today. Sometimes it is hard to get your head around these new B-MPV cars but to be honest, this one isn't bad. We drove the car already a little while ago at the European launch and while it probably isn't class leading, it certainly wins in terms of value.

Our European first drive.

It really isn't a bad-looking thing, with quite an adventurous front end and thankfully this one has the manual gearbox, because I really hated the CVT version when I drove it previously.

The boot space is pretty good in the Verso S, as you can see from the picture above, as it managed to swallow the considerable gear that comes with a film crew.

What is really very impressive in the Verso S is the Toyota Touch Multimedia Interface. This features a 6.1-inch full colour touch-screen multimedia system, including a radio, CD/mp3 player, Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity with a music streaming facility, and a USB port. Connect up your iPod or iPhone to it and you can display iPod album cover art. It works really well.
