New connectivity options and a 30hp power boost for Porsche 911.

What's the news?

Only a year on from the introduction of the 911's new all-turbo engine lineup (for Carrera models at any rate) comes another update for Porsche's evergreen sports car.

Nothing dramatic this time around but there is the option of a 30hp power boost for the Carrera S and 4S which raises power to 450hp, and costs from €10,000 ex-taxes. The package includes such features as larger turbochargers, the Sport Chrono package including dynamic engine mountings, a modified brake cooling system and the sports exhaust system with two central tailpipes in a unique design. The pack can be retrofitted to any older model with the Chrono Sport pack already fitted.

On the inside the 911 gets new connectivity options, including a new standard SIM cars which allows internet connection in 14 countries (yes, Ireland is included) and expanded phone-based concierge services in China and Japan. This new Connect Plus system will now be standard on all 911s as well as the new Panamera, and can be retrofitted to older models.

Colour and paint options have also been increased with new Crayon and Saffron Yellow Metallic for the 911 and the Cayenne is getting new Purpurite Metallic, as well as Palladium Metallic as a special colour. For the Panamera, the new exterior colours of Burgundy Red Metallic and Ristretto Brown Metallic are also now available.
