Jason O'Dwyer wins €5,000 and Dublin Simon Community also receives €5,000.

What's the news?

Honda has given one lucky person a cheque for €5,000 for winning its 'Guess The Snowflake' competition. Jason O'Dwyer correctly guessed that 789 snowflakes fell onto a new-shape Honda Civic (which goes on sale in March) in the online animation, scoring him (and his son, Dylan, who came along to the presentation) €5,000 and winning the same amount for the Dublin Simon Community - a donation which forms part of Honda's 'Powering Local Dreams' project.

Annmarie Brennan from the Dublin Simon Community said: "On behalf of Dublin Simon Community and the people who rely on our services each day, we would like to thank everyone in Honda for their support. You are providing people with life changing outreach, treatment, housing, homelessness prevention and education services. Your kindness will make a vital difference and enable the people and families to move to a safe and secure place they can call home."

John Saunders, Sales and Marketing Director of Universal Honda at the prize-giving said: 'This evening has been a wonderful opportunity for us to give something back, not only a small helping hand to the community through the terrific work of Dublin Simon, but also brightening someone's new year with the wonderful prize of €5,000 from the 'Guess the Snowflake' Competition."
