Euro6 engines for Fiat van fleet

New engines fitted with no increase in price for now.

What's the news?

Fiat Professional, the van-making division of our favourite Italian car maker, has introduced a raft of updated or new diesel engines to its range, all of which are now compliant with the latest Euro6 emissions regulations. And, between now and the end of September, you can have as much as €3,400 knocked off the price.

The Doblo van kicks things off with an updated 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel and a price tag of €13,650 (ex VAT) which is a discount of €1,600.

Then there's the bigger Ducato. It gets a whole range of new engines, which include Low Pressure Exhaust Gas Recirculation system (LPEGR) to lower NOx emissions without the added weight and bulk of an exhaust treatment system such as AdBlue. The old 3.0-litre 180hp engine has been replaced by a new 2.3-litre unit with the same power output which Fiat claims is much more efficient. The older 2.3-litre unit with either 130hp or 150hp are still on sale and both get the LPEGR technology.

Prices for the Ducato start from €23,530, which is identical to the old Euro5 model, and until the end of September, you can get €2,950 knocked off that. The top-of-the-range 40 XLWB H3 2.3 MultiJet II LPEGR Power 180hp, is priced from just €28,330 - a reduction of €850 compared to the 3.0-litre model it replaces, and with a further saving of €3,400, it is available from an astonishingly affordable €24,930 until September 30.

The little Fiorino, which can haul up to 660kg of cargo around, is also a bit cheaper, by as much as €750, with prices starting for the 1.3-MultiJet II 80hp start €11,495 or just €10,995 until the end of September.
