New F-Pace models celebrate 90 years since the founding of Jaguar.

The past few years have been difficult ones for Jaguar. While Land Rover has gone from strength to strength in terms of sales, Jaguar has lost its way a little. But that's all set to change in 2025, when the company reinvents itself as an all-electric luxury brand. Ahead of that transformation, Jaguar is introducing one final update to the F-Pace SUV to celebrate 90 years since the company's founding. In addition, there's a new SVR performance flagship which commemorates Jaguar's supercharged V8 petrol engine.

More equipment

The appropriately titled 90th Anniversary Edition is a trim upgrade that's available across the F-Pace line-up (except for the 400 Sport and SVR) and includes the sportier looking R-Dynamic option pack as well as a few additional items.

The R-Dynamic pack incorporates subtly more aggressive-looking bumpers and side skirts when compared with the standard model, while the 90th Anniversary Edition also adds subtle badging, diamond-turned alloy wheels, privacy glass, a 360-degree camera system and a panoramic roof. As well as that roof creating a brighter interior, there are sports seats with contrast stitching, a black headlining and aluminium cabin trim that's designed to evoke Jaguar's sports cars of the 1950s and 1960s.

The 90th Anniversary Edition is offered on S, SE and HSE trims, while engine options include D200 and D300 diesels, plus the P400e petrol plug-in hybrid. The latter officially manages an all-electric range of over 60 kilometres, while DC-charging capability means the battery can in theory be recharged from zero to 80 per cent capacity in as little as half an hour.

Flagship SVR edition

At the top of the range, the high-performance F-Pace SVR 575 Edition is a last hurrah for Jaguar V8 power, since the only other model that was available with a V8 engine - the F-Type sports car - is no longer on sale.

In the SVR 575 Edition, power for the 5.0-litre supercharged eight-cylinder unit is up by 25hp to 575hp - hence the name - making it the most powerful F-Pace ever. There's also 700Nm of torque on tap.

As well as more power, the SVR 575 Edition features a ‘Variable Valve Active Exhaust’ to enhance the sound of the V8, while redesigned bodywork includes new bumpers front and rear, as well as the Black Exterior Pack and 22-inch forged alloy wheels that are claimed to reduce unsprung weight and boost handling. These feature a diamond-turned finish with satin grey spokes.

Inside, the SVR 575 Edition has heated and cooled electric front seats that are finished in leather and ‘suedecloth’, although these can be upgraded to perforated leather at extra cost. The steering wheel features SVR branding, while aluminium veneers are used across the dashboard and doors.

Speaking at the unveiling of the new models, Jaguar managing director Rawdon Glover said: “F-Pace has given new clients to the brand a choice of models from the efficient plug-in electric hybrid to the high-performance F-Pace SVR. With its inherent quality and design leadership, it has delighted our clients globally. As we prepare for an all-electric future, the 90th Anniversary Edition is a fitting tribute to nine decades of pioneering design, performance and innovation.”

The 90th Anniversary and SVR 575 Editions mark the final update for the F-Pace before production ends. The car has been a big seller for Jaguar, shifting nearly 330,000 units worldwide since its launch in 2015. Irish buyers should check with their local dealer to confirm availability of the special editions.
