Ferrari F12 Speciale is on its way
Speciale F12 could be the swansong for Ferrari’s non-hybrid V12.

More power. Is that not enough for you? OK, how about less weight? Plus a stripped-back cabin, tweaked suspension and specially tuned traction control and stability systems? OK, now we're talking...

We're talking about the Ferrari F12 Speciale, a car that feels as if it's going to stretch and possibly redefine the boundaries of 'special'. Ferrari is talking about a 200kg weight reduction (bringing kerb weight down to around 1,200kg) and a 30hp boost in power bringing outright grunt to around 760hp. This is going to be a staggeringly quick car - less than three seconds from rest to 100km/h, probably.

It's also very likely to be the last-generation of Ferrari's current, naturally aspirated V12. After this, all the Ferrari big engines are going to have at least some level of hybrid assistance, so revel in the unfettered nature of this car while you can.

The price tag? At least €600,000 and that's without even a glance at the options list. Thank goodness that pesky recession has gone away, eh?
