New Kia Optima to have premium features

Technologies from the class above for Kia’s D-segment Optima.

The drip-feeding of information about the Kia Optima, ahead of its motor show debut in New York next month, continues, and the Korean firm is giving us the barest bones to pick over with each new release.

We now know that the 2016 Optima will come with multiple engine choices (natch), a larger interior than its predecessor, premium features from the class above and a 'number of technologies not previously offered' on Kia's D-segment offering. We've already speculated about the engines in earlier news pieces, but the technologies are likely to be active safety and electronic driver aids.

Anything else?

The Kia Optima will make its debut on April 1 at the New York Auto Show.
