NSX and CTR star for Honda

Honda's Geneva show line-up includes hybrid supercar and 300hp hot hatch.

With the important Geneva Motor Show on the horizon, (it's held in early March), the automotive PR wagons are rumbling into action to tell us what each manufacturer will be bringing to the party. Honda has a tasty line-up, which doesn't have any surprises, but it should certainly appeal to the true motoring enthusiast.

That's because the world premiere of the turbocharged Civic Type R and the European premiere of the NSX (fresh from its debut in Detroit recently) will both be part of Honda's Geneva offering. For the CTR, Honda launched a microsite where you can explore and share Type R content, as well as access exclusive snapshots of the car ahead of the Geneva debut. Go to www.redline.global if you're interested.

Less exciting, perhaps, but no less important are all-new production models of the HR-V and Jazz, both of which can be seen for the first time in Europe. The former is Honda's return to the B-segment crossover battle, after the original HR-V went out of production in 2006, while the latter is the third generation of the mini-MPV and features a brand new 1.3-litre petrol engine.

Anything else?

As well as the mainstream production motors (be they practical or performance cars), we'll have the European debut of the FCV Concept - a zero-emissions fuel cell vehicle - and recognition of the McLaren-Honda tie-up for Formula 1. The 2015 F1 machine will be on the stand at Geneva, ahead of the 2015 season opener in Melbourne, Australia, on March 15.
