Citroen to showcase heritage models at Le Mans

Euro Citro 2014 will take place at Le Mans circuit in August.

Citroen has announced the revival of Euro Citro, a car show where owners of all Citroen models gather to celebrate the marque. For 2014, the gathering will be at the Le Mans circuit in France, from August 8 - 10.

Apart from the large number of Citroen vehicles, there will be a temporary museum to display iconic cars like Sebastien Loeb's WRC winner, plus old commercial vehicles. A turnout of more than 3,000 cars is expected, and to complement that, more than 150 exhibitors will present replacement parts, documentation, and miniatures.

Each model will take part in a slow speed parade around the Bugatti Circuit, while other events include an auction of Citroen cars (on Saturday), concours (on Sunday), a gala dinner and fireworks display. While it's certainly a great opportunity to meet likeminded Citroen fans, there will also be authors of books about Citroen present at the event, so you can have lengthy chats about your (and their) favourite models.

Anything else?
Euro Citro was first organised in the year 2000 and it ran until 2009, with an event once every three years. The anniversaries of three Citroen models make this event a lot more special: the Traction Avant to celebrate its 80th, the CX its 40th and the XM its 25 years of existence.
