Ant-Kahn promises coach-built opulence

Two automotive companies come together to form a new coach-building enterprise.

A new coachbuilder called Ant-Kahn has been formed over in the UK through the collaboration of two bespoke automotive companies.

Afzal Kahn, the founder of A. Kahn Design, and Ant Anstead, the man behind Evanta Motor Company and Philip Glenister's cohort on Channel 4's For The Love Of Cars, have pledged to lead a 'resurgence in British specialist vehicle manufacture' under their new banner, with a number of projects said to be under way.

The focus of Ant-Kahn will be on luxury and quality, using modern prototyping and manufacturing techniques.

Kahn said: "We are already working on exciting future plans that extend from coach-built special editions to series manufacture of motor vehicles, and you will see a number of models come to fruition in the coming weeks and months."

Ant added: "Together, we are dedicated to continuing and building upon the historical excellence of British vehicle manufacture and the traditions of hand-finished coachbuilding are at the heart of the company's ethos."

Anything else?
The forthcoming projects from Ant-Kahn will kick off with the 'Flying Huntsman', a variant of the Land Rover Defender, while an 'original' retro-styled barchetta will be revealed at the Goodwood Revival in September. Later this year, there will also be a completely restyled Aston Martin WB12.
