Joe Mallon Motors celebrates 30 years in business

What's the news?

Joe Mallon Motors, in Naas, Co. Kildare, has just celebrated its 30th birthday and had a major celebration bash featuring a fashion show hosted by style gurus Lorraine Keane and Darren Kennedy - both Renault brand ambassadors.

The event kicked off on Friday the 25th of November with fellow Renault ambassadors, the Happy Pear, giving a cooking and healthy eating demonstration to more than sixty local school children, educating them on the need to eat well and stay healthy.

In the evening, the glitz was turned up to max with the fashion show, featuring Peter Kelly, Daniel Flynn and Cian Forde, Ellen Dowling, Rachel Cribbin and Eadaoin Connolly all modelling clothes from local Naas boutiques such as Aria and Couture.

Joe Mallon himself was on hand, of course, having been in the car business since he was 17. The original Joe Mallon Motors dealership opened in 1986, having taken over the old Smith's premises. oe has recently passed the mantle over to his sons Philip and Anthony and daughter Ethna who all have roles in the company. Currently, Joe Mallon Motors employs 35 people in both sales and mechanical roles in the Sallins Road branch alone. There is a second outlet in Portlaoise which employs 15 people in similar roles. Joe said: "I am thrilled to be ringing in our 30th year in business. I feel a lot of our customers have trust in us because of the family aspect to the business, which is fantastic. We live nearby too so the business is very much part of the local community. We get a lot of returning custom be it with trade-ins or for servicing, which we are truly grateful for."

Paddy Magee, Country Operations Manager for Renault Ireland, congratulated Joe Mallon Motors on their thirty year milestone: "In Kildare, the Mallon's name is synonymous with exemplary customer service and the highest of standards in the motor industry. Kildare is a very important catchment area for Renault and Mallon's marking their 30th anniversary shows how successful they have been within the motor industry in the county. Joe Mallon and his family are a credit to the Renault name and we look forward to their next thirty years in business".

Since opening the doors to the Naas showroom in 1986, Joe Mallon Motors has sold 25,000 Renaults, and serviced over 144,000 cars. Joe Mallon Motors can offer consumers the choice of 27 different models of Renault and Dacia passenger cars and commercials, with exceptional finance offers across the range through Renault's own bank.
