What's the news?

The Peugeot 3008 has been named as the 2017 Car of the Year on the eve of the Geneva Motor Show. This prestigious award is decided upon by a panel of 58 European journalists from 22 countries, who judge the car on a number of different areas. The judging panel highlighted the 3008's style, interior design and performance among its stand-out features.

According to Peugeot, close to 100,000 customers have placed orders across Europe for the new 3008 SUV, with 84 per cent choosing from the three higher trim levels of Allure, GT Line, and GT, indicating a shift towards the premium end of the market for the French brand.

Jean-Philippe Imparato, CEO of the Peugeot brand, said: "I am particularly proud and very pleased that the new Peugeot 3008 has just won the 2017 Car of the Year prize. This trophy is the culmination of five years of incredible work by the brand's teams and our group."
