The organisers of this year's Mondello Truck Show on 3-4 September promise that it will be a 'Festival of Entertainment' for the whole family. Programmed events include Truck Racing, Stop & Go competition, Courier Race, Truck Displays, Drift Demonstration and a Truck Convoy.
Roddy Greene, General Manager, Mondello Park said: "The 2016 Mondello Truck Show is not only an event for truck enthusiasts, it is also very much family orientated. We plan to turn the weekend into a "Festival of Entertainment", which will keep kids and adults alike entertained".
On both show days, the British Racing Trucks will run a number of demonstration races. The 1,100hp machines should provide a crowd-pleasing spectacle on the twisting Mondello Park circuit. Further track action includes drag racing with a difference in the Stop & Go competition where entrants have to race and stop suddenly within a 'stop box'.
The 2016 Irish Champion will be crowned at the end of this knock-out competition. 'Ireland's Fastest Courier' will be named at the end of the Courier Race, where van men and women race on the track to load, unload and deliver parcels. There is also the Drift Demo by the Irish Drift Championship drivers.
Closing the event on the Sunday afternoon is 'Ireland's Biggest Convoy', which is open to all show exhibitors.
